Meet the 2020 Interns

by Laurie Jackson on Jun 11, 2020

What's New

As the weather in Cleveland finally begins to show signs of summer, NCA Financial Planners welcomes its newest group of financial planning interns. The 2020 interns will complete a 10-week program starting the Second week of June and continuing until the second week of August. During these 10 weeks, NCA’s two interns will have a jam-packed schedule of shadowing financial planners and paraplanners, meeting with industry experts in various areas of financial planning, and learning the different software programs and tools that NCA uses.

Ashley

Ashley is originally from Willoughby Hills, Ohio, but now attends college at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania where she will be completing her Senior year and graduating December 2020. Ashley is pursuing a Bachelors of Business Administration in Personal Financial Planning. Ashley is also a member of the Edinboro University’s Women’s Soccer Team. While soccer may be what brought her to Edinboro, it didn’t take long for Edinboro’s CFP Board Registered Finance Program to pique her interest. “I attended many conferences, career days, and speakers which have all confirmed my passion for the industry,” Ashley stated as her reason why she decided on the major. Ashley enjoys the aspects of financial planning where she can help people and bring peace of mind to clients.

Matt

Matthew is from Westlake, Ohio and attends The Ohio State University where he will be starting his junior year in the fall.  He is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and International Business.  Matthew is also very passionate about global events, which lead him to pursue a geography minor.  He has been interested in business since a young age and came to love following the stock market as early as high school.  When he is not interning with NCA this summer, you can find Matthew coaching youth lacrosse, golfing, and competing in trivia.  He plans to get his CFP license shortly after he graduates from college and ultimately become a financial planner.
